The Angel Tree is up in the Sanctuary and ready for you to choose a child or two! Our angels are again children from the Rutherford County Foster and Adoptive Program and range in age from infants to 17 years old. Each tag on the tree requests gifts desired by individual children. Clothing sizes are also indicated. Some have special needs. Two are young mothers whose infants are also in foster care. There is a set of twins. Some are in the juvenile justice system and can only receive specific items. This year we have 130 angels on the tree. After choosing your angel, please print your name and phone number (or other contact information) in the notebook in the numbered space that corresponds to your angel. Each angel will have a number. This will help us keep track of the angels. The unwrappped toys and items need to be turned in by Monday, November 30, 2009. Please attach the name of the angel child onto each item or group of items. It would be helpful if items were placed together in a shopping bag or gift sack, etc. You may place your items in the sanctuary under the tree. If you are unalble to shop for an angel, but would liek to help one, we would be happy to shop for you with your donation. Several of the angels can only receive stamps, stationary, and money orders made out in their name ( to be used at the canteen) because they are resisdents of the juvenile detention facility. Any questions? Please contact Susan King at 233-6158 (evenings) or Elizabeth Hickerson at 355-4646 (days).
