Well, August was a blur for the Crossfire and Invasion group.  Crossfire is really taking off!!  We now have 16 tweens in regular attendance who are learning how to be a Christian at school (and in life) in the Live It! study.  We love this study because of its family element which gets everyone involved!  Our time is filled with lessons, conversations, and experiential games that all work to teach the tweens wise habits for their daily lives.  Thank you, tween parents and volunteers!  Its never too late to get your 4th-6th grader involved.  We gather each Sunday from 6:00—7:00 p.m.  Make plans to come to our parents/volunteers gathering on September 27th.

In the older youth group, Invasion, we have been spending our time getting to know each other. New directions are being discussed and the Invasion group is getting geared up to go on a pilgrimage for the next 6 weeks.  On August 29th the Invasion group went to Wherry Housing and spent a couple of hours on a Saturday playing games with the local youth there.  We are planning more outreach for later in the fall.  Several youth are sponsoring their friends on a Chrysalis Flight.  Those that went are Tim Meredith, Jonathan Pope, Tim Davis, and Troy Uplegger.  Be sure to find them and ask about their experience.

Trunk-or-Treat is coming soon and we need help with setting up and facilitating this great annual event that serves as an outreach to our community.  Make sure you don’t miss out…..get involved!!   Shalom.
